Players will not have to leave their Emberville demo progress behind when the game enters Early Access.
Shawn Petraschuk of Evolve PR has confirmed that all progress made during the upcoming demo will carry over. The public demo begins October 19 as part of Steam Next Fest and remains available through October 26. Emberville then launches into Early Access on October 27, 2026.
Demo Progress Carries Into Early Access#
The confirmation means players can begin their adventure during the free demo period and continue from that progress after purchasing the Early Access release.
For anyone planning to explore thoroughly, gather resources, test different combat options, or spend time progressing through the available content, that time will not be lost simply because the demo period ends.
Evolve PR handles public relations for Emberville, and Petraschuk is listed as one of the game’s PR contacts. This makes the statement an authorized confirmation rather than an unverified community report.
Emberville Demo and Launch Schedule#
The current schedule is:
- Demo opens: October 19, 2026
- Demo closes: October 26, 2026
- Early Access launches: October 27, 2026
The demo gives everyone a chance to try Emberville before buying the Early Access version. With progress carrying forward, players who decide to continue will be able to pick up from their demo experience instead of starting over.
What Has Not Been Confirmed#
The announcement confirms that all demo progress will carry over, but it does not provide technical details about the transfer process. It also does not specifically address transfers between different storefronts or what will happen to Early Access saves when the game eventually reaches version 1.0.
Players should avoid manually deleting the demo’s save data until Cygnus Cross provides more detailed instructions. We will update our coverage if the studio or Evolve PR publishes additional information about Steam Cloud, save locations, or cross-store compatibility.
Where to Play#
The Emberville demo will be available through Steam Next Fest from October 19 through October 26. Early Access begins the following day on October 27.
Players can wishlist Emberville on Steam and read the original carryover confirmation from Evolve PR.
