The wait is over. The free Emberville demo is now available to download and play on Steam.
The demo arrives as part of Steam Next Fest and will remain available from October 19 through October 26, 2026. It gives everyone an opportunity to explore Emberville before the game enters Early Access on October 27.
Better yet, all progress made in the demo will carry over into Early Access.
Download the Emberville Demo#
Players can download the demo directly from Steam:
- Visit the Emberville Demo page on Steam.
- Select Install Demo to begin downloading it immediately.
- Alternatively, select Add to Library to save it for later.
- Launch the demo from your Steam library once the download finishes.
The demo is free. Purchasing Emberville is not required to download or play it during the announced demo period.
Your Demo Progress Will Carry Over#
Players who decide to purchase Emberville after trying the demo will not have to begin their adventure again. Evolve PR has confirmed that all demo progress will carry over when the game enters Early Access.
That means the time spent exploring, fighting, gathering resources, and progressing through the available demo content can continue into the paid Early Access release.
Found a Bug? Report It on Discord#
Players who encounter bugs or other technical problems during the demo can report them through the official Emberville Discord.
When creating a bug report, include as much useful information as possible:
- A clear description of what happened
- The steps that caused the problem
- What you expected to happen instead
- A screenshot or video, when possible
- Your operating system and relevant hardware details
- Whether the problem happened again after restarting the game
Detailed reports give the development team more information to reproduce and investigate an issue before Early Access begins.
One Week Before Early Access#
The demo is available for one week immediately before Emberville launches into Early Access:
- Demo opens: October 19, 2026
- Demo closes: October 26, 2026
- Early Access launches: October 27, 2026
The timing gives prospective players a chance to experience the game before buying it. Those who enjoy the demo can continue their existing progress when Early Access begins the following day.
What Is Emberville?#
Emberville is a dark fantasy action RPG built around combat, crafting, character progression, and rebuilding a ruined town. Players awaken without their memories inside the Vitromotus, a vast magical prison where death does not last.
As players explore, they can rescue survivors who return to Emberville and unlock new systems, classes, crafting paths, and progression opportunities.
The game enters Early Access on PC on October 27, 2026. Players can wishlist the full game on Steam while downloading the free demo today.
